BILLING
All of our services are BULK BILLED for patients with a valid Medicare card. Patients without a valid Medicare or Veterans Affairs card will be charged a private fees.
CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS
Please notify our staff as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This will allow us to make the appointment time available to other patients.

COMMUNICATION POLICY
UR health Medical Clinic Ballan preferred method of communication with our patients is via telephone or in person. We will endeavour to return our patient’s phone calls/ enquiries back as soon as possible. If contact is made with the clinic through our email address, a member of staff will attend to your query and respond via telephone within a timely manner. UR health Medical Clinic Ballan is committed to providing a service with you to ensure your long-term health care. With your consent, we will include you in our reminder system so that we can contact you in relation to preventative health services appropriate to your needs. If you do not wish to be contacted via SMS, email or post as part of our patient reminder system, please advise staff accordingly.
PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY
In line with privacy legislation, UR health Medical Clinic Ballan maintains a strict security with your medical records and private information along with strict confidentiality of your personal information. Only authorised members of staff have access to your information.
REMINDER POLICY
For the continuing management of our patient’s health we utilise a systematic reminder system to provide health promotion, preventative care and early detection of disease. You have the option of registering to receive healthcare reminders that are appropriate to your care. We generally send sms reminders for the following reasons:
Your test results have come back
You are due for 2 follow up check-up/immunisation
And any other urgent matter related to your care.

We endeavour to continue to develop any strategies required to meet their needs.The practice provides respectful care at all times and is mindful of patients personal dignity. We have a plan in place to respectfully manage patients in distress.

If you have any suggestions, complaints or appraisals, we have a Suggestion Box located in Reception where all your feedback/complaints can remain anonymous Or speak to a member of the clinical team, or the administrative staff, if you have any suggestions, or unhappy with the service you have received. Alternatively, you can direct all concerns to reception@urhealthmedicalclinicballan.net and we will endeavour to respond to you within 1-2 business days or as soon as we can.
